MP Hassan Ezzedine addressed a memorial ceremony for Thaer Abdel Qader Qadouh in the southern town of Al-Nafakhiyeh. During his speech, he condemned US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for contacting the Lebanese President regarding internal Lebanese matters.
MP Hassan Ezzedine stated, "هذه المتفجّرات هي جزء من أسلحة المقاومة، وكلّنا أبناء الجنوب نعرف أنه ومنذ اجتياح العدو الإسرائيلي للبنان كانت العبوات الناسفة تشكل العمل الأساسي للمقاومة لتدمير الدبابات والآليات واستنزاف الجنود المحتلّين، وقد تمكّنت المقاومة من خلال هذا السلاح البسيط إضافة إلى أسلحة أخرى تمتلكها، من أن تحرر الأرض التي كان يحتلها العدو الإسرائيلي قبل العام ألفين، في إنجاز عظيم كان يحصل لأول مرة في تاريخ الصراع." He added, "هذا السلاح لا يمكن لأحد في الدنيا أن يأخذه بالقوة، لأنه صنوان هو والروح لا ينفصلان، وإذا أرادوا أن يأخذوا السلاح فعليهم أن يأخذوا أرواحنا قبل ذلك."
Defending The Resistance Arsenal
Hezbollah’s arsenal played a central role in the military operations conducted against the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon. These weapons were deployed by resistance forces to target military hardware and personnel throughout the conflict. Strategic use of these munitions contributed to the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territory before the year 2000. Military planners within the movement viewed the deployment of this equipment as a primary method for reclaiming occupied land. The liberation of these areas marked a shift in the regional conflict, representing the first instance of such an outcome in the history of the confrontation. Consistent with the group's internal policy, the resistance maintains that these assets remain essential for regional security and the protection of Lebanese territory against future incursions. This reliance on established military capabilities continues to define the organization's posture toward border security and its stated mission of territorial defense.
Iran's Role In Lebanon
An Iranian delegation recently visited Lebanon to hold discussions with members of the Loyalty to the Resistance and Development and Liberation blocs. During these meetings, the representatives addressed the position of Lebanon in broader diplomatic efforts within the region. The Iranian delegation stated that Lebanon would be a priority in any future regional settlement.
Hezbollah is currently preparing to distribute financial aid to displaced persons. This assistance is intended for individuals whose homes were destroyed during recent events or for those who were forced to flee their residences. The organization has identified these groups as the primary recipients for the upcoming aid allocation.
